How It Works

At Bears BowWow, we like to get to know you and create a custom plan based on your needs. We are dedicated to your success, and for this reason our base rate includes a consultation and two sessions. We find that practice and patience are the keys to success, and we want to give you the space to use them with our expertise to lean on.

Step 1:

15 Minute Consultation

Over video chat we will get the chance to talk about your goals with your dog, answer any questions, and even meet your dog and view some of the behaviors to help us make the most of our time together during the visits. This consultation is complimentary. Book your consultation today!

Step 2:

Session 1

In our first session we will start working on your goals that we discussed in the consultation. This will give us a chance to see any behaviors and really understand your pup’s home environment and routine. You will learn techniques to practice to encourage the behaviors you are looking for.

Step 3:

Session 2

We will have a second session around 2 weeks after the first in order to check in on your progress. It can often be challenging to replicate skills we worked on together, and this time is to review anything you’ve had challenges with and work on progressions. We want to be there for you, since you’re learning too! While this session is optional, it is included in the price of our services.

Where do you travel?

For in person sessions, we are mainly based in Brooklyn, but will travel to Manhattan and Queens. Please reach out for more information and to inquire.

Do you offer video sessions?

We do offer video sessions! The structure is the same with a consultation, and two sessions. Video sessions cost less and are shorter in length. We do ask that if you plan on asking for a video session that you have the following setup: a computer or device that can connect to Google Hangouts, a space where you can demonstrate the behaviors you’d like to work on, and clear view of you and your dog.

Do you work with multiple dogs?

Each dog will require (and deserves!) its own session. That being said, if you are a family of multiple dogs that all need some extra help, there is a reduced rate for sibling pups though and we can discuss fewer overall sessions based on your needs.
